It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Mr Tim Ash, Honorary President of the Ancient Cattle of Wales breed society.
It is through his vision and hard work that ACW exists today; that we, as a Society, are able to hold breed records and continue to support this unique and most cherished of Welsh native breeds.
It is without doubt that, if not for Mr Tim Ash and other passionate founders of the Society, these cattle would now be but a footnote in Welsh history, and more than likely lost as a breed.
We owe Tim Ash our great gratitude. We thank him for the wonderful legacy of keeping the coloured cattle of Wales alive for future generations to experience and enjoy.
