The Pori Bach herd owned by our Vice-Chair, Helen Upson, have been in the news again as they continue their essential work improving habitat for wildlife.

In this instance, the Powys County Times reported that two of Helen’s cattle are grazing a large hill near Llanymynech Golf Club in order to benefit rare butterflies. By browsing and trampling the area, the scrub and trees that had been taking over will be thinned and conditions will be more suitable for butterflies such as the Grizzled Skipper (Pyrgus malvae) and Dingy Skipper (Erynnis tages).
